Sarah Fisher's Obituary
Sarah Frances Fisher, daughter of James Wiley and Frances Lodema Warner Latimer, was born June 19, 1922, near Conway, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, January 20, 2006, in Citizens Memorial Hospital, in Bolivar, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, seven months, and one day. On May 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to George W. Fisher, and to this union two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, on August 30, 1986; and a son, Francis Warren Fisher, on September 9, 1957. Sarah is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Helen Fisher, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; three grandchildren, Amy Fisher, and her fiancé, Sean Fleming, of Springfield, Missouri, Justin and Nathan Fisher, both of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a brother, James Latimer, of Conway, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Conway community. After she and George were married, they made their home on their farm near Phillipsburg, and lovingly raised their son. Throughout the years, Sarah was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her family and also helped in the operation of their farm. Sarah was a member of the Conway United Methodist Church and had attended the Phillipsburg Christian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, tatting, and crocheting. She also liked growing beautiful flowers, particularly her favorite roses and iris. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed having her family around her. Sarah was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, january 24, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, near Conway, Missouri. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
