Scott Lewis (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Roland Scott Lewis, son of Roland and Annabelle Cheek Lewis, was born January 28, 1964, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-two years, three months, and nineteen days.
On July 9, 1997, he was united in marriage to Christy Ann Davis, and they shared the last eighteen years.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandmother, Mary White; and his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Ida Lewis.
Scott is survived by his wife, Christy, of the home; two daughters, Cassie Newell, and her husband, Mike of Lebanon, Missouri, and Meghan Davis, of Dixon, Missouri; four sons, Brandon Lewis, Johnny Lewis, and his wife, Brittany, Hayden Davis, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Chris Lewis, of Port Orchard, Washington; four grandsons, Brandon, Clayton, Easton, and Rylee; his mother, Annabelle Lewis, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Eugene Berry, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Lebanon, and attended Lebanon High School. He then operated R & S Battery Shop in Richland, Missouri. He worked for H. D. Lee Company in Richland for a time, before going to work for Detroit Tool Company. He was the night supervisor at Marine Electric for a few years, and then worked at Hugh Palmer Motors in Lebanon. He and Christy had made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their family.
Scott had professed his faith in Christ and was a member of Unity Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He loved music and had played bass with the New Horizons. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting, helping the high school fishing team, and playing golf. He also was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball team and enjoyed watching their games. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his children and grandsons.
Scott was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
