Scotty E. Kasterke (Seymour)'s Obituary
Scotty E. Kasterke, son of C. Scott and Vesta (Hosiner) Kasterke, was born on August 2, 1941, in Seymour, Missouri. He went to his eternal home on Thursday, July 29, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Scotty met his wife Judy while singing with a gospel quartet. Judy played the piano for the group. After Scotty’s time in the Air Force, they were united in marriage on April 26, 1963. Scotty and Judy were blessed with three sons, Stan, Eric and Darin. Scotty had a successful career with the United States Postal Service. He also owned Scotty’s Market in Fordland, Missouri, for several years. Scotty was 10 years old when he accepted Jesus as his Savior. That began a life of ministry including singing at churches and children’s bus ministry at the Free Will Baptist Church in Fordland. Scotty led music while Judy played the piano at multiple churches in Fordland and Seymour. Together they attended First Baptist Church in Seymour where they faithfully served in many areas and have enjoyed going on mission trips. Scotty was a good friend to all and will be greatly missed. Scotty was preceded in death by his parents, his son Eric, nephew Kevin Rudolph, great-nephew Jeromy Rudolph, and brother-in-law Gerald Rudolph. Scotty is survived by is loving wife, Judy, of the home, son Stan and Susie, of Rogersville, son Darin of Springfield, granddaughters, Erica Lafferty of Marshfield, Lauren and Nic Goodin of Nixa, great-grandchildren, Luke and Bailey Lafferty of Marshfield, and Grayson and Peyton Goodin of Nixa, and his sister Una Marie Rudolph of Seymour, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
