Seldon Gill's Obituary
Seldon Elroy Roy Gill, age 81, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 at his home. He was born August 17, 1927 in Amos, Arkansas to Ernest Gill and Ida Coombs Gill. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and lifelong career man for the United States Navy. Roy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Lee (Moore) Gill of the home, five sons; LeRoy Gill and his wife Sharon of Mayer, Arizona, Douglas Gill and his wife Kathy of Camdenton, Missouri, James Gill of Concrete, Washington, Stephen Gill and his wife Daphne of Lancaster, Ohio, Donald Butch Gill and his wife Beverly of Preston, Missouri, 23 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Joseph and LaForest Gill, a grandson; Stephen Franklin Gill and a granddaughter; Barbara Lee Percival. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Chaplain James Friend officiating under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Full military honors including pallbearers will be provided by the AMVETS Post #114, Flemington, Missouri. Visitation will be from 12:00-12:45pm, Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the funeral home.
