Selena R. Brown (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Selena Raye Brown was born July 1, 1977 in Carlsbad, New Mexico, to Jack Howell, Sr. and Francis Stafford Howell. She passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 in Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. She was forty-eight years, ten months and twenty-three days of age.
Selena was raised in New Mexico and graduated from high school there. Soon after high school, she moved to Missouri where she was married to James “David” Brown on June 21, 1996. They made their home in Lebanon and shared almost thirty wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with family, hard work, laughter and love.
Selena is preceded in death by her grandmother, Georgia Mings.
She is survived by her loving husband, James “David” Brown of the home; her son, Jay Brown of Lebanon, Missouri; her daughter, Leah Burkart of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Whitt, True, Pearson and Tobias; her father, Jack Howell, Sr., and his wife Debbie Washington; her mother, Francis Blocker and her husband David Blocker; her brother, Jack Howell, Jr. of Midland, Texas; her puppy, Juble; and other relatives and friends.
She attended Community Baptist Church.
One of Selena’s favorite cities to visit was New Orleans. She also looked forward to playing games at the casino. She will be remembered for being sweet, caring and giving. She enjoyed being silly and lifted the spirits of those around her. She liked going fishing and looked forward to traveling whenever possible.
Most of all, Selena loved spending time with her family. She loved her children and grandchildren and was a big part of each one of their lives. Her home was a haven of warmth, love, and laughter, where countless memories were created and treasured.
Services for Selena Brown will be private.
