Sharon L. Blum (Humansville)'s Obituary
Sharon Louis Mart Blum, 72, passed away on October 25, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of James Lynn Blum. They shared 16 years together.
Sharon was born in Independence, MO, in 1946 to Leota Bell Downs Mart and Marion Alexander Mart. She went to school in Bolivar, MO. She was a bookkeeper before she retired. Sharon was happiest when she could work outdoors in her yard planting flowers and a vegetable garden. She also loved to paint and sew. Sharon will be remembered best for her tenacity when it came to tackling various challenges that came her way, and most importantly, the devotion she had for her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Leota and Marion, and her brother, Richard Lee Mart.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Karla Louise Simmons Blum and Jeffrey Lynn Simmons (Lisa); her grandchildren, Jennifer Lee Simmons, Spenser Mitchell Blum and his wife Swathi, and Rachel Marie Blum (Jac Slade); her great-grandchild Nevaeh Simmons; and her sister Jean Carol Mart Riggs.
Services for Sharon Blum will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, MO. Visitation will be held
one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in the Liberty Cemetery in Hermitage, MO.
