Sharon S. Brewer (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sharon Sue Brewer, age 76, peacefully went to be with her Lord Thursday, September 7, 2023.
Sharon was born July 8, 1947 in Fridley, Minnesota to Freeman Clark Bellinger and Rensina (Schuur) Bellinger, both deceased.
She was married to Charles Brewer and they had two sons, Jesse and Rob.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles (Charlie) Brewer; and two of her brothers, William (Billy) Bellinger and James (Jimmy) Bellinger.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Jesse James Brewer of Fargo, North Dakota and Robert E. Lee Brewer and his partner, Carrie Meyers of Topeka, Kansas; siblings, Jacob (Sonny) Bellinger of Osage City, Kansas, Lori Redick and husband Jerry of Lebanon, Missouri, Kenneth Bellinger and wife, Blanka of Rantoul, Kansas, Kathy Sobba and husband Ken of Rantoul, Kansas, Patti Higbie and husband, Jeff of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Wanda Wood of Garden City, Missouri; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Sharon was second of nine brothers and sisters and was the oldest daughter. She loved her family very much. She was the unofficial family photographer, taking hundreds of pictures through the years of her loved ones and at special get-togethers. She loved cooking, quilting and growing flowers. She was blessed with a “green thumb” and always knew the tricks for growing amazing flowers. Some were at unbelievable heights.
Sharon led a quiet life. She had a wonderful, quirky sense of humor and could light up any room. She loved children and helped care for many of her young nieces and nephews. To some of them she was affectionately known as “Nada-mama”.
But above all, Sharon loved Jesus and she had a passion to share Jesus with her family, friends and neighbors. Many can testify to the many tracts, literature or special scriptures that she gave them in hopes that it would bring encouragement and hope and always, always point them to Jesus.
Sharon embodied humility, compassion, kindness and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She will also be sorely missed by her little dog, “Puppy”. Until we meet again, sweet Sharon.
