Sharon Kay Hoelscher (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Sharon Kay Hoelscher, 81, of Humansville, MO passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home in Humansville, MO.
Sharon was born to Carrol and Clara Zimke Miller on May 2, 1938. Raised in Hubbard, IA, she was one of 26 in her graduating class. Alongside Sharon in that class was Tom Hoelscher, who after returning from his time in the service would become her husband. The two were blessed with 61 years together, and from this union four children were born.
As a mother and wife, Sharon served as the cornerstone of her family. She found it to be her job to keep the kids in line, including Tom. She enjoyed being intimately involved in her children’s lives, and as the years went on Sharon loved nothing more but to sit and visit with her family and friends. The dinner table was a staple for her, and the whole family knew that being with mom meant having fresh lunch and dinner provided straight from the garden.
In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed gardening flowers and food, and was known by her lovely singing voice. She was also an avid reader, and could often be found in the pages of her new novel. Sharon worked diligently for the stability of her family, and will remain the block on which they stand. She will be forever in our hearts.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Tom Hoelscher, and her four children: Daniel Hoelscher and wife Kristen, Greg Hoelscher and Maggie Rodgers, Lori Darnulc and husband Warren, and Wayne Hoelscher and wife Holly. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held privately by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sharon's honor to the American Cancer Society.
