Sharon Elaine Johnson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sharon Elaine Johnson, daughter of John and Gertrude Miller Brown, was born September 26, 1948, in Newton, Kansas. She departed this life Saturday, March 29, 2014, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-five years, six months, and three days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Billy Dean Wells; and two brothers, John and Allen Brown.
Sharon is survived by three sons, Kenny Wells, of Lebanon, Missouri, Joe Johnson, and his wife, Heather, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Jeremiah Johnson, of Stover, Missouri; six grandchildren, Emma Jennifer, Courtney, Madelyn, Keith, and Megan; two sisters, Vickie Ferguson, of Sedalia, Missouri, and Janice Bresulla, of the State of California; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in Newton and Peabody, Kansas, and graduated from Peabody High School. She then made her home in California, and lived in Riverside, California for many years. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her family, Sharon also worked as a waitress throughout her life. In 1984, she moved to Stover, Missouri, and made her home in Lebanon, Missouri, in 2013.
She was a NASCAR fan, and enjoyed watching television, particularly soap operas. She also was an avid reader. She was a great mother and a prime example of a loving, single mom. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Memorial donations to the Pregnancy Support Center or Curry Cancer Center may be made through the funeral home.
