Sharon Juergensen (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sharon Loel Juergensen was born April 2, 1961 in Springfield, Massachusetts to James R. Mercer, III and Ruth I. McDonald Mercer. She passed away in her home in Lebanon, Missouri on Friday, September 27, 2024. She was sixty-three years, five months and twenty-five days of age.
Sharon grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts and graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in the class of 1979.
On April 30, 1982, she was united in marriage to Michael Juergensen who was serving in the United States Army. They were stationed in Germany and then were transferred to Fort Leonard Wood. Sharon was employed at Mercy for seventeen years in the medical billing department. In 2007, she earned her Associates degree from Everett College.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James R. Mercer, Jr. and Lois Mercer; and Charles MacDonald and Geraldine MacDonald.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of forty-two years, Michael, of the home; her children, Jennifer Merchant and her partner Chris Embry of Camdenton, Missouri, Amber Beauchemin and her husband Justin of Chicopee, Massachusetts and Michael Juergensen, II and his wife Tia of Lebanon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Cage Merchant of Springfield, Missouri, Aidyn Merchant of Fulton, Missouri, Kamora Merchant of Camdenton, Missouri, Kayson and Izzy Nawskon of Chicopee, Massachusetts, August, Ezekiel, Bentley and Oakley Juergensen, all of Lebanon, Missouri; her parents, Ruth Mercer of Springfield, Massachusetts, James Mercer, III and his wife Lieselotte of West Springfield, Massachusetts; her step-daughter, Brandi Andreini and her husband Michael of Los Plumas Lake, California; her step-grandchildren, McKayla and Robert Andreini, both of Los Plumas Lake, California; and her siblings, James R. Mercer, IV and his wife Melinda of South Hadley, Massachusetts, Cristin Mercer McNiel and her husband David of Concord, Massachusetts and Patrick Mercer and his wife Kathy of West Springfield, Massachusetts; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends.
Sharon enjoyed living the beautiful Missouri Ozarks, but she loved going back “home” to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Having fresh lobster while in Cape Cod was a special treat she looked forward to. She and Michael also liked going to the I-44 Speedway in Lebanon.
Family was very important to Sharon. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and caring grandmother. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories made with her for years to come.
