Sharon McCulloch (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sharon Rose McCulloch, daughter of A. F. and Viola Brown Hendry, was born June 26, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life Wednesday, June 18, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years, eleven months, and twenty-two days.
On October 14, 1961, she was united in marriage to Joseph Rich McCulloch, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Buddy Hendry; and four sisters, Jewell Garnett, Juanita McCulloch, Gail Vietzen, and Louise Loots.
Sharon is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Joe, of the home; a daughter, Sarah Gresty, and her husband, Brian, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sons, Dan McCulloch, and his wife, Debbie, of Lebanon, Missouri, Jim McCulloch, and his wife, Nicole, of Ozark, Missouri, and Tom McCulloch, and his wife, Kristy, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Wheeling High School. After she and Joe were married, they made their home in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and lovingly raised their children. Sharon was a devoted homemaker to her family and also worked at Fort Leonard Wood for a few years. In 1977, she began working in the food service department of Lebanon R-III Schools and continued there until retiring as the Food Service Director in 2009.
Sharon was a longtime active member of St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon. She had a very caring heart and was always willing to help others.
She enjoyed growing beautiful flowers, sewing, and was an avid reader. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
