On January 24, 1995, she was united in marriage to Reginald L. McElroy, and they shared the last twenty-four years.
Her father preceded her in death.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Reginald, of the home; a daughter, Crystal Dragon, of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Clayton Whitmire, of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Atom, Damon, and Enola; her mother, Evelyn Davis, of Austin, Texas; a brother, Rick Boling, of Austin, Texas; a sister, Pam Brauer, of Austin, Texas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Austin, Texas and attended schools there. She began working in the hotel industry for a short time. She met Reginald while in Austin and later they were married in Las Vegas. She then moved to Lebanon in 2010. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Sharon worked in the health care field for awhile.
She enjoyed being outdoors and liked riding horses. She was committed to her family that she loved with all her heart. She was very forgiving and understanding but was also steadfast and stubborn. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. A visitation will follow the service.
A memorial has been established to the Poly-cystic Kidney Foundation and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
