Sharon McNealy (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Sharon Jean McNealy, daughter of Harry Eugene “Gene” and Wauline Wave Thornhill Dixon, was born August 17, 1939 in Wright County, Missouri and departed this life on March 28, 2018 in Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, seven months and eleven days.
On December 23, 1956, she was united in marriage to Dennis McNealy and to this union one daughter was born. She was preceded in death by Dennis, on August 19, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Becky Borders and husband, Ed, of Ringwood, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Crystal Compton, Angela Borders and Caitlin Murrow; six great-grandchildren, Maverick, Paige, Sayler, Hayden, Britten and Boston; brother, Bobby Dale Dixon and wife, Helen, of Mansfield, Missouri; sister, Betty Still and husband, Willard, of Waco, Texas; three nephews, Earl Dixon, Doug Still and Dr. Todd Still; one niece, Stacy Porter, other relatives and many friends.
She was raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1957. She worked for many years at Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory in Mansfield and was a devoted wife and homemaker.
Sharon made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of Mansfield First Baptist Church where she helped with Vacation Bible School.
In her spare time, she loved to bake angel food cakes for everyone for any occasion and would always be sending someone flowers. But spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and are comforted that she is now at peace.
