Sharon M. Ritchel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sharon Margaret Ritchel, daughter of James R. and Christina D. Comstock Conyers, was born April 22, 1943, in Independence, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, July 2, 2021, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, two months, and ten days.
On September 28, 1963, she was united in marriage to Frederick John Ritchel, and to this union three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandchild, Sara Ritchel.
Sharon is survived by her husband John, of the home; three sons, Ryan Ritchel, and his wife, Jody, of Lebanon, Missouri, Rolly Ritchel, and his wife, Laura, of Independence, Missouri, and Jasen Ritchel, of Piedmont, South Dakota; her grandchildren, Alex Ritchel, and his wife, Wendy, of Atchison, Kansas, Katie Fisher, and her husband, Sky, of Lebanon, Missouri, Olivia Ritchel, of Springfield, Missouri, Lisa Styles, and her husband, Josh, of Springfield, Missouri, Julie Julius, and her husband, Jarod, of Lebanon, Missouri, Timothy Ritchel, of Salt Lake City, Utah, George Ritchel, of Lebanon, Missouri, Delaney Ritchel, of Lebanon, Missouri, Kalli Paschal, and her husband, Chris, of Blue Springs, Missouri, Kelsy Gover, and her husband, Kevin, of Grain Valley, Missouri, Clinton Ritchel, and his wife, Madelyn, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Kassidy Chuning, and her husband, Austin, of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Jake Ritchel, of Kansas City, Missouri; her great-grandchildren, Zavian, Gabe, Mason, and Caleb Ritchel, Killian, Jack and Soren Fisher, Gordon and Rahlie Paschall, Luke Ritchel, and Roy Chuning; her step-grandson, Tyler Muse, Atchison, Kansas; one great-great-grandson, Zane Muse; a brother, Chadd Conyers, and his wife, Judy, of Raytown, Missouri; a sister, Becky Farrow, and her husband, Jim, of Independence, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Independence, Missouri, and graduated from William Chrisman High School. After she and John were married, they moved several times before settling down in Independence, Missouri, and then moved to Lebanon, Missouri in 2018. Throughout the years, Sharon was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her husband and sons.
Sharon was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lebanon.
She enjoyed traveling, making scrapbooks, caring for her horse and the family pets, and playing card games. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a loving and sweet personality and had the ability to make everyone feel special.
Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she made for them during her lifetime.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 705 West Walnut, Independence, Missouri.
Arrangements for Sharon Ritchel will be under the direction of the Holman Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, MO.
