Shayla Paige Headley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Shayla Paige Headley departed this life on Saturday, July 2, 2022 in her home in Columbia, Missouri at the age of thirty-three years, one month, and twenty-three days.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bob and Edith Headley.
Shayla is survived by her two daughters, Ella Eady of Springfield, Missouri, and Callie Barnes of Lebanon, Missouri; one son, Milo Barnes of Lebanon, Missouri; her parents, Robert and Tina Headley of Lebanon, Missouri; her brother, Tyler (Kala) Headley; her sister, Krystal (Chris) Sexson, both of Springfield, Missouri; her grandparents, Elmer and Mary Reid of Lebanon, Missouri; two nieces, Violet and Sylvie Sexson of Springfield, Missouri and a host of treasured relatives and friends.
She was raised in Lebanon, Missouri and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 2007.
Shayla’s heart was loving and generous to everyone, especially her children. She loved to laugh and make others laugh. She was creative, thoughtful and beautiful. She was humble, approachable and never looked down on others. She was also fearless, yet meek and tender.
Her brightest and most joyful days were spent raising her kids. She gave it her all. And to her, there was no greater dream than having a peaceful home and being a good mom. She loved Ella, Milo and Callie with an immeasurable love that will always be with them.
Shayla was passionate about many things. Her love for animals kept the family home full of creatures all through the years. She was an incredible makeup artist, loved music and spending time in nature. From a young age, Shayla walked with God. She professed her faith in Christ, was baptized in water and the Holy Spirit. She never stopped believing in the power of Jesus.
Shayla was a warrior and fought through countless difficulties with miraculous endurance. She touched many lives and hoped to someday help other people overcome substance use struggles. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to Lane Change of Lebanon, a non-profit recovery support program that provides services to individuals in our local community struggling with substance use disorder.
