Shelby Clark's Obituary
Shelby Jean Clark, daughter of Elmer and Delpha Eilenstein Hough, was born April 26, 1936, in Anderson, Indiana. She departed this life Thursday, December 4, 2008, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, seven months, and eight days. On June 7, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ray Clarence Clark, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ray, on March 14, 2005. Shelby is survived by a son, Tony Ray Clark, and his wife, Teresa, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Bobbie Jean Glenn, and her husband, Wayne, of Rogersville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Devin Cook, Shawn Glenn, Megan Glenn, Hannah Clark, and Makala Clark; two great-grandchildren, Bella Cook and Amberlynn Glenn; a brother, Paul Hough, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Anderson, Indiana and was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area. After she and Ray were married, they made their home in various locations in the United States and also in France, while he was serving in the military. Upon Ray’s retirement from the U. S. Coast Guard, the family made their home in Lebanon, Missouri. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Shelby also worked at R & S Floral Supply in downtown Lebanon for eighteen years. Shelby made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a faithful member of Sleeper Pentecostal Church. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, camping, and making floral arrangements. She carried herself as a true lady, but also liked to be sipping on a Dr. Pepper. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Shelby was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will treasure the memories she created throughout the years. Services will be at 11:00 am Monday at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Sunday afternoon 5-6:30 pm under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri.
