Shell-a DeNice Vaughn (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Shell-a DeNice Vaughn, daughter of Gordon Foell and Patricia Kimrey, was born January 27, 1959, in Mason City, Iowa. She departed this life Saturday, September 12, 2015, at the age of fifty-six years, seven months, and sixteen days.
On September 16, 2006, she was united in marriage to James A. Vaughn, and they shared the last nine years.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Shell-a is survived by her husband, James, of the home; a daughter, Nicky Sanderson, and her husband, Christopher, of Falcon, Missouri; two sons, Scott Amos, and his wife, Shana, of Willard, Missouri, and Dustin Shadrick, and his wife, Rebecca, of Camdenton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Cheyenne, Madison, Zoey, Dayten, and Brooke; two brothers, Donavon Foell, and his wife, Margaret, and Rocky Foell, and his wife, Carol, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Sherr-e Piercy, and her husband, Stephen, of Lebanon, Missouri; her paternal grandmother, Katheryn Foell, of Mason City, Iowa; an aunt, Irma Foell, of Mason City, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Iowa and north Illinois, and then moved with her family to Falcon during her senior year in high school. She worked in several industries and was a devoted homemaker to her family for many years. She was a dairy farmer along with working for the H. D. Lee Company, Marathon Electric, and Christian Health Care before being employed by Copeland Industries for the last ten years.
Shell-a had a deep abiding faith in her Lord and Savior and enjoyed studying her Bible.
She centered her life around her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed caring for her home. She possessed a delightful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Shell-a was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
Memorial donations may be made to the Idumea Baptist Church, and left at the funeral home.
