Shelly (Dismang) Jones' Obituary
Shelly Leigh Jones (Dismang), daughter of Donald R. and Georgia Charleen Rogers Jones, was born July 2, 1966, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, January 1, 2010, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-three years, five months, and twenty-nine days. She was preceded in death by her mother; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Shelly is survived by a son, Rick Jones, and his fiancée, Amanda Slover, of Lebanon, Missouri; a daughter, Destiny LeAnn Dismang, of Lebanon, Missouri; a grandson, Landon Ray Pope, of Lebanon, Missouri, and an eagerly anticipated granddaughter, Madisen Rae Jones; her father, Donald R. Jones, and his wife, Kathleen, of Santa Clara, California; her step-dad, Ricky Caudle, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Don Jones, and his wife, Georgia, and Billy Caudle, and his fiancée, Melissa Fuller, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Sheila Marie Carroll, and her husband, Lyle, of Stoutland, Missouri, and Kathleen Jones, of Santa Clara, California; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. Throughout most of her life she was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family, but she also worked at H. D. Lee Company and as a housekeeper for local motels at different times. Shelly had made her profession of faith in Christ and was baptized into Community Baptist Church where she enjoyed the church fellowship In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, doing crafts of all kinds, needlepoint projects, and crocheting. She was a wonderful housekeeper and enjoyed having things neat and orderly. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandson. Shelly was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation is Monday evening 7-8:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
