Sherry E. Chastain (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sherry Ellean Chastain, daughter of Claude Lee and Mary Ellean Dibben Chastain, was born April 28, 1960, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, December 8, 2013, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-three years, seven months, and ten days.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Sherry is survived by two daughters, Mandy Reece, and her husband, Andy, and Misty Flippin, and her fiancé, Jay Whitten, all of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashley Reece, Jaleigh, Bentley and Adeleigh Whitten, and two eagerly anticipated grandchildren, Taylor Reece and Denton Whitten; five brothers, Paul Chastain, and his wife, Wilma, Gary Chastain, and his wife, Delores, Jerry Chastain, and his wife, Nancy, Tommy Chastain, and his wife, Shirley, and Rickey Chastain, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; a special friend, Vernon Daniels, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Conway Schools. She was a devoted homemaker to her family and also worked as a nurses’ aide for the Dove Senior Citizen Home, near Lebanon, for a number of years.
Sherry had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Flatwoods Bible Church.
She liked doing floral arrangements, writing poetry, and watching her favorite soap opera, Days of Our Lives. She enjoyed being outdoors and liked fishing with her dad. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Sherry was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
