Sheryl L. Hyder (Seymour)'s Obituary
Sheryl Lynn Hyder was born March 1, 1952, in Seymour, Missouri, to Ira A. and Ola A. (Scott) Hyder. She peacefully departed this life early Thursday morning, February 27, 2020, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour at sixty-seven years, eleven months and twenty-six days of age.
Sheryl was a kind, shy, and gentle spirit who lived her whole life in Seymour. She spent most of her time babysitting children and taking care of her mother. She was a very talented pianist, learning to play by ear at the age of 3. She loved gospel singing and had traveled and performed with The Atchisons and was also called to play service music at countless local funerals.
In addition to her parents, Sheryl was preceded in death by brother, Jimmie Hyder; two half-brothers, Ron Scott and Harold Scott; and brother-in-law, William McNish.
Sheryl leaves behind her sister, Sandra McNish, of Buffalo, Missouri; brother, Dennis Hyder, of Marshfield, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Venita Hyder, Carol Scott, and Joyce Scott; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend, Jenny Akkerhuis; and many more dear friends and neighbors.
Sheryl was a loving daughter, a caring sister, and a loyal friend. She will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Sheryl’s family will privately lay her to rest at Seymour Masonic Cemetery at a later date.
