Rex Vermillion
Don and family -- My name probably is not familiar to you, but for about 2 years prior to her death Sirley was a great help to me building out my family tree to help determine who my biological parents were. I gave her editing rights to my family tree on ancestry.com. We emailed frequently and talked by phone several times. I had about given up my search and my subscription to Ancestry was due to renew in April or May, so I emailed asking her advice whether to renew. When I didn't get a reply soon, I thought she might not be feeling good, but left it alone at the time. Only recently did I discover that she had died. So, I wanted to let you know that Shirley was a great help to me. I asked where to send a Christmas gift one year and she declined to let me do that. She was generous and caring. She may have been touching the lives of folks you never knew about. Incidentally, Don, she was proud of your zoological woodwork and sent me photos. Quite remarkable! Even though we never met in person, I wanted you to know how much I appreciated her interest in my project. So sorry to lose her. Hope you and your son and daughters are doing well. In sympathy and gratitude, Rex Vermillion ([email protected]) PS: If any of you are ever in Amarillo, Texas, please let me know. I would appreciate meeting you.
