Shirley Dorcy's Obituary
Shirley Angeline Dorcy, daughter of William and Shirley Story Doyle, was born September 28, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Friday February 5, 2010, in her home near Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, four months and seven days. On January 25, 1980, Shirley was united in marriage to Daniel Dorcy and to this union two children were born. She was preceded in death by her father. Shirley is survived by her husband, Daniel, of the home; one son, Josh, Justin Dorcy; one daughter, Stephanie Amber Dorcy; her mother, Shirley Troiani, of Mansfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Shirley was the daughter of a military man and spent her younger years living in many different locations. After her marriage to Daniel, they made their home in Birmingham, Alabama, for a short while before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, where they lived for twenty years. They later lived in Willow Springs, Missouri, before moving to Mansfield eight years ago. While residing here, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Missouri State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, and daughter and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday February 9, 2010 at the Holman - Howe Funeral Home Manasfield. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Mansfield, Missouri. Return to top
