Shirley Ann Ealy (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Shirley Ann (Newland) Ealy, 83, passed away on October 18, 2023 at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar. She was born in Halfway, MO on June 16, 1940 to Arthur and Thelma (Ashlock) Newland and graduated from Halfway Schools.
Shirley married Charles Ealy and they had 3 children. Charles and Shirley enjoyed 58 wonderful years together. She worked at Bolivar Manufacturing as a seamstress for 25 years.
Shirley was saved at Goodson Missionary Baptist Church an early age. She was a charter member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed decorating cakes, gardening and attending church services.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ealy; parents, Arthur and Thelma Newland and great-grandsons, Clayton Williams and Bentley Lewis.
Shirley is survived by her son, Danny (Tami) Ealy; daughters, Judy (Ron) Doss and Barb (Mike) Haynes; 12 grandchildren and about 22 great-grandchildren (but we kept losing count), 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be at Butler Funeral Home on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. with services following at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, MO.
