Shirley Mae (Gilmore) Orrell, born September 11, 1948, passed away on November 18, 2025, at CMH Care Facility in Bolivar. She was a longtime resident of Halfway, Missouri. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents Loyd Gilmore and Iva (Erwin) Gilmore, husband William Ralph Orrell, brothers Billie and Rex Gilmore and is survived by her sister Brinda Johnson, daughters Tonya and Marilynn; son-in-law Jimmie Chastain, grandchildren, Lance, Sloan, Brenden, Hadley, Justine, and Michael; and her great-grandsons Holden, Wade, Bentley, and Boone who brought immense joy to her life. Shirley was known for her strong work ethic—she loved to stay busy and always kept her hands and heart moving with purpose. She was kind-hearted, a wonderful listener, and a loyal friend to everyone she met. Her warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and her legacy of compassion will continue through the many people who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
