Shirley Pierce (Seymour)'s Obituary
Shirley Marie Pierce, daughter of Leamon Curtis and Alpha Rankin Curtis was born April 27, 1945 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 6, 2020 in her home in rural Fordland, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, four months and nine days.
She was united in marriage to Robert Nelson Pierce on June 2, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma, and to this union 3 children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Tammy Connelly, and five brothers. Shirley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert, of the home; son, Robby Pierce and wife, Stacy, of St. George Island, Florida; daughter, Cindy Bowers, and husband, Brian, of Seymour, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Emily Byers, Bryson Bowers, Preston Bowers, Braylon Bowers, Sara Pierce, Stephen Pierce, and Sherman Connelly; two great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Thomas and husband, Charles, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. She was born in Oklahoma and lived in several places before moving to the Seymour/Fordland area in 1997. Shirley made a profession of faith in Christ many years ago and was a member of the Seymour Free Holiness Church. Shirley was a loving wife and devoted homemaker who loved to cook and host family gatherings. She was an interior decorator and could make a room “come to life”. She decorated for many weddings and decorated cakes for all occasions. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing arts, crafts, and was an excellent seamstress. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate the life she lived and know that she is in presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Memorials may be made to the family, and left at the funeral home.
