Shirley Alene Pulkrabek (Seymour) 's Obituary
Shirley Alene Pulkrabek, daughter of Dwight Lee and MaeB Fitzwater Milligan was born May 8, 1939 in Seymour, Missouri and departed this life on May 7, 2015 in her home in Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-five years, eleven months and twenty-nine days.
On May 25, 1957, she was united in marriage to Dennis Eugene Pulkrabek and to this union four children were born. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Denny on March 6, 2003 and an infant son, Michael Dennis Pulkrabek. Shirley is survived by her son, Michael Pulkrabek of Republic, Missouri; two daughters, Denise Williams and husband, Mark of Battlefield, Missouri and Pamela Norris and husband, Rick of Republic; five grandchildren, Sara Baty of Republic, Alexa Elliott of Battlefield, Brittany Eccles and husband, Levi of Youngstown, Florida, Abby and Emily Norris of Republic; four great-grandchildren, Jordan and Grant Wells, Skyler and Elliott Eccles, other relatives and many friends. Shirley was born and raised in Seymour and graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1957. After she and Denny were married, she became an Air Force military wife, living many different places during Denny’s 20 year military career. After his retirement, they made their home in the Springfield, Missouri area where she worked at a Hallmark store as well as many years for Commerce Bank. She and Denny had followed the Catholic faith and for the last 10 years she had attended the Eastern Gate Freewill Baptist Church. Shirley had a lifelong love of hot air balloons, and was an avid fan of the Springfield Cardinals, St. Louis Cardinals and Missouri State University Lady Bears. But what she loved the most was spoiling her children, granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She loved them dearly. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
