Shirrell Fullington's Obituary
Shirrell Dean Fullington, son of Joe and Nancy Marie Fullington, was born February 15, 1940, in Odin, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, four months, and twelve days. On November 11, 1978 he was united in marriage to Darla Diona MacArthur and together they have spent the last twenty-eight years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dean Hart; two brothers, Jake and Charlie Fullington; and seven infant brothers and sisters. Shirrell is survived by his wife, Darla, of the home; four daughters, Tammy Pena, of Kansas City, Kansas, Bonnie Couch, of Hartville, Missouri, Juanita White, of Houston, Texas, and Tracy Batson, Cheyenne, Wyoming; seven grandchildren, Mark Pena, Laura Hart, Darren Pool, Destiny Pool, Katherine White, Lane and Shelby Batson; a daughter-in-law, Pam Hart, of Hartville, Missouri; a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born near Odin and spent his entire childhood in the Hartville area. He later moved to Kansas City and spent seven years in the western United States, before returning to Hartville fourteen years ago. Shirrell had made his profession of faith in Christ and attended the Hartville Church of God. He was a happy person and centered his life around his family. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors and loved working on cars. Shirrell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the memories he has created for his family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
