Sidney E. Quipp (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Sidney Eugene Quipp, son of Frank and Mona Hathaway Quipp, was born on February 4, 1935, in New Llano, Louisiana. He departed this life Sunday, September 11, 2017, in his home near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, seven months and six days.
He was united in marriage to Beverly June Edmonds, and to this union five sons and one daughter were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Roger Allen Quipp and Frank Henry Quipp III; two sisters; and four brothers.
Sidney is survived by his wife, Beverly Edmonds Quipp, of Lebanon; three sons, Sidney L. Quipp and his wife, Donna, of Lebanon, Missouri, David Quipp, of Stockton, California, and Quenton Quipp, of Stockton, California; one daughter, Tammy Lynn Quipp of Lebanon, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jennifer and Iona; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relative and friends.
He was born in Louisiana and then moved with his family to Wisconsin at the age of two. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Army during the Korean War. Throughout the years he worked as a mechanic in an automobile manufacturing plant for many years. In his spare time he liked working on cars. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Sidney was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
