Sinara O's Obituary
Sinara Stull O’Donnell went home to the Lord on Sunday, September 16, 2007 after a long illness. Her life was filled with creativity, imagination and adventure. She carried compassion in her heart for everyone and used her many talents as an actress, author, motivational speaker, business professional, friend, daughter, wife. Sinara was born in Coronado, California on June 3, 1947. She was a graduate of Whittier College, Whittier, California and later received her Master of Arts degree from the University of Arizona. Sinara’s lifelong dream was being an actress. She ascended in that role, appearing in TV shows such as “General Hospital” and “Cheers”. Sinara also appeared in many Los Angeles stage productions and performed stand-up comedy at such noted clubs as the Ice House in Pasadena, California. On the business stage, she achieved success as an Executive Recruiter, working for various companies including Dunhill Executive Search, The Disney Store, Nestle USA, and Health Net. Her talents in both business and acting arenas evolved into establishing her own firm, “SinaraSpeaks”, where she starred as a professional speaker to business and civic organizations nationwide. Also, she wrote many newspaper and magazine articles, including a monthly column for the Springfield Business Journal. In 2003, she published her autobiography, “Be the Star of Your Life! Are You Ready For Your Close-up?”. Sinara married her “Quiet Man”, John O’Donnell, on September 1st, 1990 in Long Beach, California. They enjoyed 17 happy and exciting years together. Sinara is survived by her husband, John, of Springfield; her father, retired California Senator John Stull of Hartville; her aunt Tays Bogue of San Marino, California; her cousins, Betsy Bogue of South Pasadena, California, Charles Bogue of Laguna Beach, California , Connie Bennett of Marian, Iowa, and Cathie Elsbree of Aurora, Illinois. Sinara loved to laugh, to bring joy and comfort to others. She now brings this gift to heaven. We shall miss her, but know with the Promise of our Lord Jesus Christ, that we will meet again. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29, 2007, in the River of Life Lutheran Church, Springfield, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri. Memorials to Cox Health Foundation or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Medical Melanoma Oncology Department, may be made through the funeral home.
