Stanley Wayne Ownby (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Stanley Wayne Ownby son of Leonard Ray and Edith May (Clemmons) Ownby was the first born of four children, born on March 29, 1953, and passed away at home on Friday, July 15, 2022, with his loved ones by his side. At passing he was 69 years old. He was saved at Cox Hospital in 2021.
Stanley was self-employed most of his life doing what he loved, farming, hauling milk, and truck driving. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends and the most important was going to his grandkids sporting events.
Stanley was preceded in death by his son, Lucas Wayne in 1978; his parents, Leonard and Edith Ownby, and his grandparents, Clovel & Eugenie Ownby and Claude & Maude Clemmons. Stanley was survived by his wife, Robin Ownby; his children, Sara Skinner and husband Curt of Buffalo, Missouri, Kristin Naegler and husband Adam of Springfield, Missouri, Marcus Ownby and wife Chelsey of Long Lane, Missouri, and nine step-children; three siblings, Steven Ownby and wife Jo of Long Lane, Missouri, Sharlene Highfill and husband David of Buffalo, Missouri, and Sheila Gan and husband Jimmy of Lebanon, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Taylor Ford, Easton & Matthew Skinner, Hudson & Rinleigh Naegler, Kinsley & Judson Ownby, and 20 step-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri. Bro. Dennis Skinner and Bro. Thomas Clemmons will be officiating the service. Visitation will be Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
