Stanley is survived by two sisters, Willda Trent, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Rosa Barber, and her husband, Lloyd, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised on the family farm, near Prosperine, Missouri, and continued to live there for most of his life. He had lived in Mountain Grove, Missouri for the last several years, moving there shortly before his mother’s passing. He had worked at the Developmental Training Center and enjoyed the jobs that were offered there, and also helped around the farm. Stanley attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church in his early years, and then went to the Prosperine Baptist Church. He loved helping people even when it meant having to work hard. He greatly liked being outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his pony. He also liked watching television, bowling and listening to music. He loved working and making his own money so that he could purchase C.D.’s, particularly country gospel music. His home and his family were always very important to him. Stanley was a very special and loving brother and uncle, and was a kind and caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family will hold tightly to the wonderful memories they share.
