On February 6, 1984, he was united in marriage to Kimberly Michelle Gage, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Stanley Lee Saunders, III.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Kimberly, of the home; a daughter, Ashley Saunders, and her fiancé, Michael Hicks, of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Shayna and JayAnna, and an eagerly anticipated grandson; five sisters, Mary Lou O’Dell, Dana Wedelstadt, Carol Nekola, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Sandy DeGraffenreid, of Stoutland, Missouri, and Sharon Hastings, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area. After he and Kimberly were married, they made their home in Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family. Stanley worked as a wood cutter for a number of years, until his health began to fail.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Stanley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial has been established, and donations may be made through the Funeral Home.
