Stella Mae Smith (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Stella Mae Smith, daughter of William Franklin and Maude Lee Meadows Jacobson, was born, March 30, 1932 in Hannibal, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, May 29 2014, in Laurie Care Center, Laurie, Missouri at the age of eighty-two years, one month and twenty-nine days.
On February 1, 1980 in Camdenton, she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Smith. Together they shared twenty years of marriage until his passing in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary Blomberg; step-son, Justin Smith and a brother, William Barnes.
Survivors include her children, Bill Blomberg and wife Kathy of Versailles, Missouri and Donna Borders of Linn Creek, Missouri; step-children, Serena Smith of Lebanon, Missouri and Mike Smith of Linn Creek, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Brenda Denson and husband Ronnie of Clifton Hill, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Stella was raised in the Hannibal and Clifton Hill areas of Missouri. She moved to the Lake area in 1961. She retired as the Bakery Manager of Gerbes after 20 years of service.
Stella made a profession of faith and was a member of Camdenton United Methodist Church.
The main priorities of her life were her church and her family.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
