Stephen Allen Norman (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Stephen Allen ‘Steve’ Norman age 65 of Willow Springs, MO passed away at 6:57 PM Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home after an extended illness.
He was born on August 30, 1946 in Springfield, MO the son of Etcyl Boone Norman, Jr. and Genieve (Exline) Norman .
Steve was a 1964 graduate and Senior Class president of Ava High School and was very active in the basketball, baseball and football programs.
On May 1, 1974 in St. Louis, MO, Steve was united in marriage to Virginia M. Boyle and her family instantly became Steve’s family and they had over 38 years together.
Steve enrolled in the St. Louis College Of Pharmacy for a couple of years, then joined the U. S. Army serving in Germany. After his discharge he returned to the College of Pharmacy and graduated and was also an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the College. He was a member of the Willow Springs Church Of Christ of which he oversaw the building and construction of their new church a few years ago, the Willow Springs Rotary Club, Many other Willow Springs Organizations including Hometown PRIDE, Chamber Of Commerce, Ozarks Family YMCA, Community Betterment, Board Member of Community Foundation, Senior Housing, Arts Council, Saddle Club, Medical Assistance Program. Steve also supported or was a member and actively involved in the Good Samaritan Clinic in Mountain View, MO, The Shriners, Southern Ozarks Chamber Orchestra, Boy Scouts of America, Willow Springs Troops, Girl Scouts of Dogwood Trails Council, Missouri Community Development Society, Missouri Special Olympics, The Salvation Army, Jobs for American Graduates, Community Foundation of the Ozarks, and the Missouri Pharmaceutical Association. He and Ginny had owned and operated Ferguson Drug in Willow Springs for many years.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Etcyl Boone Norman, Jr. and Genieve (Exline) Norman.
Surviving is his wife Virginia M. ‘Ginny’ Norman of the home in Willow Springs, MO; one daughter, Pam Dudley of Willow Springs, MO; three sons, Patrick Boyle and wife Carolyn of Springfield, MO; Mike Boyle and wife Pam and Greg Boyle and wife Elizabeth both of Willow Springs, MO; also his brother David Norman and wife Dorothy of Ava, MO. Steve’s Beloved Chihuahua Micki. Ten Grandchildren, Bryan Boyle and wife Misty of West Plains, MO; Candy Langley and husband Derick of Riverview, FL; Robyn Woods and husband Rodney of Dallas, TX; Heather Cunningham and husband Junior of West Plains, MO; Amanda Boser and husband Patrick of Seffner, FL; Troy Dudley and wife Dawn of Willow Springs, MO; Alisha Dyer and husband Tim of Wauwatosa, WI; Ryan Boyle and wife Toni of Willow Springs, MO; Andy Boyle and wife K.T. of St. Louis, MO; and Ben Boyle of St. Louis, MO. Also 28 Great Grandchildren, Devin Siegrist, Kylie Boyle, Maddi Boyle, Ravin Taylor, Tristin Taylor, Ashley Langley, Brayden Langley, Marciano Franklin, Jaya Goodner, Nicolette Woods, Alexis and husband Cody Gibson, Ashley Cunningham, Zach Cunningham, Allissah Cunningham, Kaidyn Cunningham, Ericka Boser, Allison Dudley, Sophia Dudley, George Dudley, Gabby Dudley, Belle Dudley, Emerson Dyer, Sullivan Dyer, Davaul Boyle, Tari and husband Brandon Levine, Nick Toll, Drew Boyle and Hannah Boyle. Three Great Great Grandchildren, Olivia Gibson, Moreland Gibson and Tanner Levine. Also nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many friends.
