Stephen Lee Jones (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Stephen Lee Jones was born January 17, 1958 in Houston, Missouri to Charles and Vivian Breedlove Jones. He departed this life Sunday, November 2, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-seven years, nine months and sixteen days of age.
Stephen was raised in the Plato area and graduated high school there. Prior to his graduation, he enlisted with the United States Marines and proudly served his country.
Following his time with the Marines, Stephen moved around quite a bit before returning to the Missouri Ozarks where he worked as an auto mechanic for many years.
He loved his family very much. He enjoyed being outside hunting, fishing and camping. He also was very talented at repairing cars and had a fondness for older cars. In general, Stephen liked anything with a motor.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Vivian Jones; three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his significant other, Sharon Hammock; her two sons, Roger Hammock and Keith Hammock; a half-brother and a half-sister; as well as several nieces and nephews.
We celebrate a life well lived, a life dedicated to service to his country. We know his family and friends will treasure the memories they have of Stephen for many years.
A memorial has been established and donations may be made to Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
