Stephen Douglas Lillard (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Stephen Douglas Lillard was born January 21, 1963 in Lebanon, Missouri to Don and Zedith Tweed Lillard. He departed this life Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at his home in Lebanon, Missouri. He was sixty-two years, one month and fourteen days of age.
Steve spent his entire life in Lebanon and graduated from Lebanon High School in the class of 1981. He was very popular in school and following graduation, attended college for two years.
He served with the Lebanon Fire Department for fourteen years. His duties as a firefighter were fulfilling and he enjoyed serving the Lebanon community in such an impactful way. He was always willing to help.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Zedith; his sister, Donna Drew; and his brother, Jerry Lee Lillard.
He is survived by his sisters, Becky Williams and her companion James Bartley of Fair Grove, Missouri and Vicky Winneger of Lebanon, Missouri; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Steve encountered a disability that caused him to retire from the fire department. He lived with his disability with dignity and was well liked by those in the community. From a young age he attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, and then attended other churches throughout his life.
Steve enjoyed traveling, fishing and cave crawling. He collected Indian artifacts and liked to research the history these treasures provided.
Most of all, Steve loved his family and spending time with them. His family was so important to him and they supported each other. He was a caring and trusted friend and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established to Crossroads Cemetery and donations may be left at the Funeral Home.
