Stephen Pfitzner's Obituary
Mr. Stephen Charles Pfitzner, age 88, of Morrisville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at his home in Morrisville.
He was born April 16, 1923 in Morrisville, Missouri, the son of John Charles Pfitzner and Mary Philomena (Kowash) Pfitzner.
Stephen served in the United States Army during World War II from January 1943 to January 1946.
Stephen was a farmer and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bolivar, Missouri.
Stephen is survived by his two sisters, Theresa Colburn and her husband Bill of Bolivar, Missouri, Agnes Pfitzner of Morrisville, Missouri, one brother, Frank Pfitzner of Lakeview, Arkansas one sister-in-law, Mary McGinnis Pfitzner of Bolivar, Missouri, nieces and nephews, Charles Pfitzner, Mary Ann Penn, Mark Colburn, Susan Colburn, Bryan Colburn, Kelly Colburn, Janet Hight, Carol Hunke and Michael Pfitzner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bolivar, Missouri with Father Pat Wissman officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am, Saturday morning just prior to service time at the church. Musical selections will be "On Eagle's Wings", "We Remember", "The Supper Of The Lord" and "Precious Lord Take My Hand". Helen Stander will be playing the organ. Hank Lemmon will be the Alter Server and Charles Pfitzner will serve as the Lector. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri with Military Honors provided by the AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Bryan Colburn, Kelly Colburn, Charles Pfitzner, Tyler Brady, Dannie Hubbert and Bill Colburn.
