Stephen L. Wilson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Stephen Leon Wilson, son of Ronald Jean and Janice Sue Woods Wilson, was born July 2, 1969, in Stoutland, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, September 18, 2020, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-one years, two months, and sixteen days.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Stephen is survived by his father, Ron Wilson, of Stoutland, Missouri; three brothers, Chris Wilson, and his wife, Charity, of Stoutland, Missouri, Mike Pierson, and his wife, Barbie, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Bill Fite, and his wife, Lisa, of Monrovia, Indiana; a sister, Judy Fite Zerface, of the State of Florida; seven nieces and nephews, Justin, Devin and Nicholas Pierson, Zach and Logan Fite, Ericka Fraits, and Madison Wilson; four great-nieces and nephews, Caleigh-Rae, Cora Jean, Graham, and Landon; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Stoutland community, and graduated from Stoutland High School. He then attended Southwest Baptist University and Drury University before finishing his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Central Missouri State University. He then taught in schools in Missouri and California for several years. He eventually returned to the Lebanon area where he has owned and operated South Five Car Wash for the last several years.
Stephen attended Stoutland Baptist Church throughout his life. The last few years he had attended the New Beginning Church in Stoutland. Missouri.
He liked to read and write, was very creative with words, and had written a screen play for a movie. One of his great loves was music and he liked singing. He enjoyed watching sports and was a fan of the Kansas City Royals and also football. He also liked visiting museums, and loved his dog, “Grover”. He was one of the only people that could run barefoot down a gravel road. He was a great friend and wonderful uncle who never missed any activities and events of his nieces and nephews through the years.
Stephen was a loving son, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the memories he made for them during his lifetime.
