Sterling Ray Banks (Seymour)'s Obituary
Sterling Banks was born November 25, 1951, to Norman and Lucy Banks in Knobel, Arkansas. He leaves behind one son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Abigail Banks; seven grandchildren, Koi, Timbre, Easton, Rory, Colten, Alba and Khel Banks; one sister, Shelia Rhoades; and one brother, Eddie Banks; his half-brother and sister, Dewight and Carol, along with his cousin, Lenny, whom you could call his brother. He also left behind a wonderful stepdaughter, Krystal Brown, and a niece, Melissa Beal, along with many cousins, nephews and friends and fellow coworkers.
Sterling had his Master’s in engineering and was an electrical mechanic for most of his life. Sterling loved to hunt and fish. He was very proud of his horse-riding skills, and for a while, he broke horses for a living. He was also quite proud of his dancing skills. Sterling had very good business management skills and had owned and ran several very successful businesses.
Sterling was a man of God but did not protrude his faith. He was a man searching for a true faith, not in what a man could give him, but something he had to find. Sterling would want his family and friends to know that he sought the Lord and found him; and the one thing that Sterling asked before he passed was, “Love your family, hold them close, and be in their life no matter the cost.”
