Steve Crews (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Stephen Thomas Crews, son of Robert Crews, Jr. and Daisy Leona Crumpler Crews, was born February 20, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas. He departed this life Monday, October 13, 2014, in the Veterans Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of fifty-eight years, seven months, and twenty-three years.
His father preceded him in death.
Steve is survived by two sons, Bobby Crews, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Cody Crews, of Blue Springs, Missouri; his mother, Daisy Crews, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Rick Crews, of Basehor, Kansas, and Rob Crews, of Adrian, Missouri; a sister, Cindy Johnson, of Blue Springs, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Fort Worth, Texas area, and then moved with his family to Overland Park, Kansas when he was fifteen. After graduating from high school, Steve served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps from September 3, 1975 to September 4, 1979. He then attended the Police Academy and upon graduation became the Chief of Police in Orrick, Missouri. After a few years, Steve began working for Fisca Oil Company in Plano, Texas. He then moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and had worked as a Deputy for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department for several years.
Stephen was an active member of Harvest Tabernacle – United Pentecostal Church in Lebanon.
He was a hard worker and enjoyed law enforcement. In his spare time he liked taking short trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Steve was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Memorial donations to Harvest Tabernacle, may be left at the funeral home.
