Steve L. Rogers' Obituary
Steven Lee Rogers, son of Steve F. and Norma Jean Petty Rogers, was born August 15, 1967, in Los Angeles, California. He departed this life Tuesday, September 4, 2007, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of forty years and nineteen days. On August 11, 2007, he was united in marriage to Lisa Ann Hoadley Llamedo. His mother preceded him in death. Steve is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home; a son, Jason Rogers, of the home; a daughter, Alejandra Llamedo, of Lebanon, Missouri; his father, Steve Rogers, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, Jeff Rogers, and his wife, Deanna, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; a sister, Debbie Rogers, of the State of California; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in California and then moved with his family to Lebanon, Missouri, where he graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1985. He had worked at the shipyards in California and had also worked at and managed an outlet mall. His last place of employment was for the Lebanon R-III School System in the Lebanon High School maintenance department. Steve was unfortunately stricken with liver disease and had endured three transplants. He bravely and courageously battled his illness throughout the last several years. He had attended Harvest Tabernacle – United Pentecostal Church in Lebanon. He was a caring and giving person who enjoyed helping others. He liked classic cars and greatly loved motorcycles. His family was very important to him and especially enjoyed his children. Steve was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007, at Harvest Tabernacle Church. Visitation will follow the service. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials may be made through the funeral home.
