Steven Wayne Anthony (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Steven Wayne Anthony, son of Paul and Karin Watson Anthony, was born August 14, 1962, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, January 30, 2019, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, five months, and sixteen days.
On December 31, 1987, he was united in marriage to Glenna Kay Pooler, and to this union two sons were born.
His mother preceded him in death.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Glenna, of the home; two sons, Sean Anthony, and his wife, Sami, and Chase Anthony, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a granddaughter, Brystol; his father, Paul Anthony, of Lebanon, Missouri; two brothers, Brian Anthony, and Jeff Anthony, both of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; an aunt, Margaret Watson; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1980. He then earned his degree in Petroleum Engineering from Missouri Science and Technology University in Rolla in 1985. He began working at United Savings and Loan from 1987 until 1997, where he served as a Vice-President. He then worked at Mid-Missouri Credit Union from 1997 until 1999. Since 1999, he had been employed by Independent Stave Company, now Missouri Cooperage.
Steven had made his profession of faith in Christ and attended Real Life Church in Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing baseball, softball, and golf. He also liked to play the lottery. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his sons and granddaughter.
Steven was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and left at the funeral home.
