Steven Sheaffer's Obituary
Steven Craig Sheaffer, son of Robert and Oksun Yi Sheaffer, was born August 13, 1972, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, September 28, 2007, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of thirty-five years, one month, and fifteen days. On April 26, 2001, he was united in marriage to Brandy C. Starnes, and together they shared the last six years. His father preceded him in death. Steven is survived by his wife, Brandy, of the home; a daughter, Brooke Sheaffer, of the home; a son, Mason Starnes, of the home; his mother, Oksun Sheaffer, of Waynesville, Missouri; a sister, Laura Blackman, of Fort Sill, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He was raised in the Waynesville, Missouri community, and graduated from Waynesville High School. He had attended Ozarks Technical Community College. For the last several years he and Brandy had made their home in the Lebanon area and were lovingly raising their family. Steven was currently working as a welding technician for the Copeland (Emerson) Corporation. Steven had attended a Baptist church in his younger years, and had made his peace with the Lord. He liked sports, especially football, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed his work and his friends, and appreciated all kinds of cars and liked detailing them. He also had a fondness for white tennis shoes. His family was very important to him and he greatly enjoyed spending time with his children. Steven was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of his family and many friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to the children's education fund may be made through the funeral home.
