Steven was such a great guy. We would always talk when sitting by each other in High School Band. He came to see me when I was living in Germany. Just a fantastic friend that will greatly be missed. God bless you all.

I am sorry to hear of Stevens passing. He was truly a good and faithful servant. He fought the fight and won the battle. He is rejoicing with Jesus. I loved to hear him sing also. Prayers for the family

I remember Steven from when he and Kim and Jody and I grew up in Centertown together. We were over at each other's houses all the time. Back then we called him "Tater". I used to babysit him every once in a while as I was several years older. I later became reacquainted with him at the Centertown School reunion and we had kept up a correspondence ever since. I will miss him so very much. My heart goes out to Kim & Jody and their families.
I started working with Steven about 9 years ago. He was the best boss I ever had the privilege of working for. While my main responsibilities lay in serving the Laclede Baptist Association, I was also in charge of keeping track of Steven’s keys (in the door), his coffee mug (on the conference room table) his checkbook (on the roof of his vehicle), etc. I will miss our “Staff” meetings, Friday donuts, his love of the Lord, his Saturday morning mug shots, our office temperature disagreements, his beautiful photos, his compassion, his apologies for making me cry 😉, his thoughtfulness, generosity, and kindness. There are a plethora of other things that would take too long. I am thankful you’re no longer in pain my friend. You were a good and faithful servant. You were still and now you know. Thank You for being my friend and brother in Christ.
