Clois, Doug, Mike, and family,
I am so very sorry about Sue's passing. In this little message I want to reflect on an aspect about Sue you have undoubtedly heard often from others lately, and that is what a remarkably kind and gentle person she was. She also had a great sense of humor. I recall the sound of her laugh almost as much as the sound of her voice! These traits are probably why she was one of my all-time favorite teachers. I think of all of the lives she touched in her years of teaching, and know how much every one of those kids - now adults - have benefitted from knowing her and learning from her. Someone once said that the measure of a person's worth can be found in the lives one has touched. Using that yardstick, Sue's life was rich indeed.
I'm sorry we cannot be there with you now, but our thoughts and sincere prayers are with you.
Rebecca, Caleb and Lizzy join me in extending much sympathy, warmth and compassion,
