Susan Margaret Evers (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Susan Margaret Evers, daughter of Gus and Marge Boland Vietmeier, was born March 20, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Lake Regional Health Systems, Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, five months, and eleven days.
On September 4, 1965, Susan was united in marriage to Edward Charles Evers, and to this union two children were born.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Evers; two grandsons, Joshua and Jordan Floyd; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Helen and Joe Evers.
She is survived by her husband, Ed, of the home; her daughter, Tina Floyd and husband Todd, of Eldon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Tony, Faith, Hope and Jeff; her sister, Pat Thomas and husband Harry; brother-in-law Tom Evers and wife Martha; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Susan spent the majority of her life living in the St. Louis area and worked as the Food Service Director for Riverview Gardens High School for over twenty years until her retirement.
Susan was baptized into the Catholic Church and was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Lake Ozark.
Susan had a passion for life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to spend countless hours talking on the phone, taking pictures and sending greeting cards for every occasion. She also enjoyed browsing the many thrift stores in the area and had quite a collection of light houses and mouse figurines. Although she never considered herself a gambler, Susan made many trips to the area casinos and never missed the opportunity to purchase a scratch off bingo ticket. She was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and loved listening to his music.
Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and caring neighbor and friend. She has left her family and friend with many wonderful memories that they will always treasure, especially, her beautiful smile.
Funeral services for Susan will be held, 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton, Missouri. Visitation will from 11:00 a.m. till time of service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton, Missouri.
Memorial donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House and left at the funeral home.
