Susan Logan's Obituary
Mary Susan (Hill) Logan, daughter of Clyde Richard and Bertha Pauline “Blackie” Cullen Ward, was born, January 14, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, January 3, 2010, in St. Luke's Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, eleven months and twenty days. On November 23, 2007, in Camdenton, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Lanny L. Logan. Together they happily shared the past two years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Lanny Logan of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Pacheco and husband Joseph of Kansas City, Kansas; a son, Pat Cochran of Camdenton, Missouri; two grandchildren, Shawn Patrick Cochran of Camdenton, and Lacey Pacheco of Springfield, Missouri; a great-grandson, Jude Fox; a brother, Tom Ward of Camdenton, Missouri; a special friend, Marlene Horning of Camdenton; and many other relatives and friends. Susan was a fifth generation Camden County resident and apart from some time living in California, was a life-long resident of the county. Her family owned the Paintin’ Place for many years and she worked with them in the business. She managed several retail stores during her life. In 2006, she established Quilted Oaks, which evolved from a long arm quilting business to a full service quilt and fabric shop. Susan was a founding member of the Lake Area Long Armers Guild. She was also a member of Ozark Hill Quilt Guild, Cabin Fever Quilt Guild and the Sunset Quilters. She was a very talented Long Arm quilt artist and quilted many beautiful quilts. She was an artist who enjoyed quilting, painting and other artistic endeavors. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Most of all, she loved time spent with family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday January 8, 2010 at the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until time of service under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
