Susan Peden (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Susan Renée Peden, 63, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on February 5, 2026, at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born in Joplin, Missouri, on June 29, 1962, to Jim and Glynda Nobles. She was a 1980 graduate of Bolivar High School and spent the majority of her life in Bolivar, where she gave back to her community both personally and professionally. Susan was a dedicated employee and respected leader at Ozark Area Community Action Corporation for many years, where she worked tirelessly to help those in need. Service to others was not just her job—it was who she was. Susan loved life deeply and intentionally. She cherished making happy memories with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her “happy place” was Gulf Shores, Alabama, where the beach brought her peace and joy. She loved cycling, spending time with her dogs, soaking up the sunshine by the ocean, and being surrounded by those she loved most. Susan was fiercely loyal, endlessly loving, and made everyone feel special. She adored her dogs and cared for them with the same devotion she showed her family. She shared life fully with her husband, Bobby, who was truly the love of her life; they did everything together. Susan is survived by her husband, Bobby Peden, of Bolivar; her son, Tanner, and daughter-in-law, Kinzi McMillen, of Bolivar; her beloved grandchildren, Blakely McMillen and Beckett McMillen; her sisters, Kim Stanek of Bolivar, and Nikki (Andy) Lukavich of Bentonville, Arkansas; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her bonus family: Zak and Amanda Sutton of Green Forest, Arkansas; Dustin and Samantha Badley of Green Forest, Arkansas; and grandchildren Gunner and Parker Sutton, and Karter and Knoxton Badley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Glynda Nobles, and her brother, James Nobles. Susan loved with her whole heart, lived with purpose, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and deep devotion to family and community. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
