Susie L. Robertson (Hartville)'s Obituary
Susie Lillian Robertson, daughter of Finis and Farrel Austin Clark, was born February 26, 1940 near St. George, Missouri. She departed this life on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in her home, at the age of seventy-four years, two months, and ten days.
On November 2, 1956, Susie was united in marriage to Darrel Athel Robertson, and to this union three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Darrel, on October 3, 2010; a son, Michael Robertson; a sister, Imogene Wisdom; two brothers-in-law, Johnnie Wisdom, and Arlis Jordan.
Sue is survived by two sons, Mark Robertson and wife Susie, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Dennis Robertson and wife Lisa, of Grovespring, Missouri; six grandchildren, Stephanie Robertson, Devon Robertson, Danielle Robertson, Trent Robertson, Nathan Looper and wife Jennifer, and Jeremy Looper and Michelle Hughes; four great-grandchildren, R.J. Looper, Annie Hicks Looper, Alex Jones, and Levi Scott Looper; one brother, Herbert Clark; one sister, Eileen Jordan; two nephews, John Wisdom and wife Debbie, and Eddie Jordan and wife Cindy; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Sue and Darrel were married during her senior year of high school. She was a graduate of Hartville High School in the Class of 1957. Sue and Darrel lived their entire lives on the same farm. She spent her life working as a homemaker and factory worker.
She was saved at an early age and later became a member of the Pleasant Grove (Cope) Freewill Baptist Church. She served as secretary of the church for several years and also served as the secretary/treasurer for the Cope Cemetery. She loved to cook for her family and friends.
Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
