Sylvia Lawler (Hartville)'s Obituary
Sylvia Elizabeth Lawler, Daughter of George Vest and Nettie Victoria (Wynn) Lawler, was born August 16, 1925 near Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life February 27, 2018, in Hartville Care Center, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of ninety-two years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Lowell, Dwight, Donald, and infant Vernon Lawler; two sisters Verice Bolian, and Norma Bohannan.
Sylvia is survived by one sister, Velma Crisp, of Springfield, Missouri; three nephews, James and Rick Bolian, and David Lawler; three nieces, Shirley Cutburth, Twila Price and Jill Dabney; several great-nephews and great-nieces.
Sylvia was born and raised in the Hartville community and lived all her life in Wright County. She was a devoted homemaker, loved to cook, sing and play guitar, write poetry, draw pictures of women with pretty dresses, was an avid reader, and loved to embroider. She was also a care giver for most of her family and worked in many elections. Sylvia made her profession of faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Coon Creek Church in Wright County. She taught Sunday school in her church when she lived in Manes. Sylvia was hired as clerk to the faculty and staff at Manes R-V school district in 1983 and quit in 1997. Sylvia had a heart of gold and was known as Aunt Sibby. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all her family and many friends.
